New Year, New You!

2020 resolution concept with ballroom dancing woman holding the 2 in the air

Make 2020 Your Year

Now that 2020 has been heralded in, it's time to take those resolutions out of the drawer and give them another look.  What was on your list?  Get fit?  Lose weight?  Be more social?  Learn new things?  Have more confidence?  Probably one or more of these things are either on your list or in your head.  What if you could take care of all of these resolutions at once?  Ballroom dancing just may be your answer.

Ballroom Dancing

Did you know that ballroom dancing strengthens your heart?  And who doesn't want that?  Because of the muscle building and the aerobic benefits of ballroom dancing, you can work that heart muscle while having fun.

FUN!

Did you say FUN?  Yep, you can knock out a few more of those resolutions and have fun.  Maybe you are thinking, "I don't know any of the steps, so I will look (bad, silly, awkward,etc......fill in the blank.)  Au contraire, mon cheri.  Everyone who dances had their first step.  No kid just jumped up one day and started doing the waltz without instruction and practice. And doesn't knowing that give you confidence?  And aren't you learning new things?  Check.  Check.

Check All of Your Resolutions Off the List

And then there is that thing on the top of the list....the inevitable 'get fit and lose weight'.  Obviously, when you are moving you are burning calories.  As mentioned before, your heart is getting stronger, your muscles are getting stronger.  Heck, even your brain is getting stronger.  So in addition to burning calories through movement, you have the added bonus of passively burning extra calories because your stronger body needs it.  It's like you are still dancing when you are sleeping.  Make sense?

And the benefits don't stop with that puny little list of yours.  Ballroom dancing can even make you smarter.  Well, not really, but it can help reduce stress and anxiety.  People are going to wonder what you are up to since you are going to be dancing around smiling all the time.

Seriously, there are so many benefits to learning ballroom dancing.  If it is for a special occasion or just to check something off your resolution list, contact us.  We can help!
